The new business had opened its doors for a “sneak peek” weekend on February 24th and 25th with regular hours beginning on Monday, February 26th. Regular hours are Sunday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. While there was no specific post about this weekend, the 743 positive comments from customers who attended show it was a successful opening weekend. Malibu Jacks is also still actively hiring, and it is assumed this will continue with the amount of positive traction the theme park has received on Facebook.

The first Malibu Jack’s location was opened by the Hatten family in Lexington, Kentucky nine years ago. The goal of the original opening was to bring Hollywood-style to Kentucky with the palm trees, oceans, and the type of entertainment. The business was later acquired by Five Star Parks & Attractions which has begun expanding the attraction to more areas in Kentucky and into other states. Read more about the beginning of the business here.

It is projected to have a positive impact on the community and continue to be a different activity for the youth of the Quad Cities.
